Hi Chris.

When uploading video to YouTube, consider the resolution of your video file. The DXG-580 shoots video in high definition, up to 1080p (1440 x 1080) resolution, which is too large a file size for YouTube. You’ll need to change the settings to record in 720p (1280 x 720). This is still HD quality and will still look great on YouTube.

The 1080p resolution looks great on your TV, but isn’t necessary if you’re going to watch primarily on the computer screen.

I was wondering exactly how you are able to upload videos to youtube. I own this camera and I cannot figure out how to do this. I also own editing software called Pinnacle Studios, which I am unable to edit my videos in because they are not the correct file type. This is frustrating for me because I really dislike the Total Media Extreme program. Any answers are appreciated.

I’ve seen these ripsticks all over but wanted to get some help deciding what to buy. I’ve seen this new board out there called pumpRockr. It looks and feels a lot closer to surfing than anything I’ve ridden before. For those of you out there that are ripstick lovers can you tell me what you think is better, the pumpRockr or the Ripstick?
