The DXG-580 shoots video in high definition, up to 1080p (1440 x 1080) resolution, which is too large a file size for YouTube. You'll need to change the settings to record in 720p (1280 x 720). This is still HD quality and will still look great on YouTube. The 1080p resolution looks great on your TV, but isn't necessary if you're going to watch primarily on the computer screen. Hi Chris.

I own this camera and I cannot figure out how to do this. I also own editing software called Pinnacle Studios, which I am unable to edit my videos in because they are not the correct file type.
