Bananagrams was invented by a family who absolutely loved games in general and word games in particular. They were looking for a game that could be played quickly, could be played by family members of all ages together at the same time and could be played anywhere. The result was Bananagrams!

A single round of Bananagrams can be played in minutes. People from 5 to 105 years of age can play Bananagrams together. Finally, Bananagrams can be played anywhere. The entire game consists of 144 letter tiles which fit easily into a small, easily carried, pouch.

The rules of Bananagrams couldn't be easier. The tiles are placed, face down, in the center of the players. The players take a specific number of tiles (the number varies with how many people are playing). One player says "Split!" and everyone turns up their tiles and begins to arrange them into intersecting words.

Words can be horizontal or vertical, but they have to read left to right and top to bottom. That's it! Players don't take turns. They play independently of one another. They can take letters from the center anytime they want more and they can put unusable letters back. The winner of the round is the first player who uses up all his or her tiles. Each round of Bananagrams is lightening fast, easy and exciting. The biggest problem with Bananagrams is stopping playing once you start!
